About the show
Built to honor the real experts
There's no shortage of roofing “experts” and gurus online. Most of them have never chased a crew through storm season, eaten a bad supplement, or made payroll in a slow month. The people who have — the contractors actually running roofing businesses — are the ones worth listening to.
The Roofing Experts Podcast exists to honor them. Every episode is a real conversation with a real contractor: the stories they lived, the lessons that cost them something, and what they'd tell the next roofer coming up behind them.
This show is for the guest first
An invitation to this show is meant as a compliment — recognition of years in the trenches, not a favor to us. Growing an audience is a welcome bonus. Honoring the people who've earned the title is the point.
Your host
Zach Gross
Zach Gross has spent more than a decade in the insurance industry, most of it as a claims adjuster handling residential, home and farm, and commercial losses. Along the way he used his adjusting experience to benefit his roofing partnership — owning the contracts, claims, paperwork, and supplements, which gave him a rare view of the business from both the desk and the roof.
Today he works alongside roofing contractors to build and sharpen the systems that keep a roofing business running and profitable. He started The Roofing Experts Podcast to hand the mic to the people who've actually earned the title: the contractors in the trenches, learning the hard lessons, and building something real.
